Driving Directions
Be sure to check check out our Travel Information for emergency numbers, speed limits and a list of roadside Welcome Centers.
From Points North: Take Route 119 South or Route 219 South
From Points East: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) to any of the four Laurel Highlands exits: Exit 110 - Somerset, Exit 91 - Donegal, Exit 76 - New Stanton, Exit 67 - Greensburg/Irwin. Routes 22, 30 and 70 also make their way through the Laurel Highlands.
From Points Southeast: Take Route 70 West to Breezewood, then follow either Route 30 West or the PA Turnpike (I-76) - exits 110, 91, 76 or 67.
From Points South: Route 219 North.
From Points Southwest: Route 79 to Route 119.
From Points West: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike(I-76) to any of the four Laurel Highlands exits: Exit 67 - Greensburg/Irwin, Exit 75 - New Stanton, Exit 91 - Donegal, Exit 110 - Somerset. Routes 22, 30 and 70 also make their way through the Laurel Highlands.

Getting Here by Train
Rail service is provided to the Laurel Highlands by Amtrak (800-USA-RAIL)
- The Capital Limited runs daily between Washington, DC and Chicago with a stop in Connellsville
- The Pennsylvanian runs daily between NYC and Pittsburgh with stops in Johnstown, Latrobe and Greensburg.
Visitors Centers
Historic Ligonier
Just 12 miles north of PA Turnpike (I-76) Exit 91 (Donegal), you will find the charming town of Historic Ligonier, featuring over 60 unique shops and eateries. The Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau's administrative offices and visitors center are located in Ligonier Town Hall, open Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Somerset
One half mile from Exit 110 of the PA Turnpike (I-76), a second Laurel Highlands Visitors Center is located in the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce building at 601 North Center Avenue, Somerset, open Monday - Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 8am-5pm and most Saturdays 9am-1pm.
Ohiopyle State Park
Our most unique visitors center is located off U.S. Route 381 at Ohiopyle State Park in a train station circa 1912. The center is open dawn to dusk, year round, and information specialists are available daily May - October, 10am- 4:30pm. Additional hours from Memorial Day - Labor Day: Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays 10am-6pm.
